Repair, for as long as the piece exists.
Every ALTO piece carries a lifetime repair promise. When a stitch fails, an edge wears, a clasp loosens — it returns to the atelier in Paris 11ᵉ and the artisans put it right.
HOW IT WORKS
Three steps.

Write to us.
Email contact@altoparis.com with your order number and a few photos of what needs fixing. We respond within one business day with an assessment and the next step.
II
Send the piece.
We provide a prepaid return label for any address within the EU. International senders cover return postage to Paris; the return to you is on us.
III
We repair, we return.
The piece is repaired by hand in the atelier and sent back within ten to fifteen working days, restored to its original integrity — cleaned, reconditioned, and ready for another decade of wear.
WHAT IS COVERED
The work we will do, at no charge.
Stitching.
Re-sewing of any seam that has loosened or come undone, with the original thread tension and stitch length.
Edges.
Re-dyeing and re-burnishing of the cut edges that have lost their finish through wear.
Hardware.
Replacement of any clasp, buckle, zip slider or metal foot that has failed, with the same brass or palladium-plated finish.
Lining.
Re-stitching or full replacement of the interior lining when worn, torn or stained beyond cleaning.
Conditioning.
Cleaning, nourishing and reconditioning of the full-grain leather to restore suppleness and the original patina depth.
Straps and handles.
Replacement of full straps or handles, including chain links and shoulder rests, with the matching original component.
HONEST LIMITS
What we cannot promise.
We will always try. But we will be transparent if a piece has been altered by another workshop, severely damaged by fire, chemicals, or animal, or worn to the point that a structural part of the leather itself has failed beyond repair. In those rare cases, we will tell you, and we will offer a discounted re-make from the original pattern where possible.
Cost-to-the-customer is zero for routine repair covered above. For replacements requiring full re-make or major leather restoration, we will quote in advance — always at atelier cost, never as profit.
